In the Edmonton Journal today:
“. . . the University of Alberta is a public university and thus should be financed by public funds. It should not be run according to the business agenda of private corporations . . . . [H]igher education, the process of cultivating our children and grandchildren, is not a business. It is an essential human right and one in which a democratic and free society should take pride, and it is one that both the government and University of Alberta administration should ‘dare to deliver.'”
